What is Open Doors’ big idea?

In much of the world, being a Christian is one of the most dangerous things a person can be.  Every day people young and old alike face discrimination and persecution simply for their faith in Jesus.

Open Doors seeks to serve God by serving persecuted Christians around the world.

What do Open Doors do?

There are five key strands to the work of Open Doors:

Raising Awareness – Open Doors continuously monitors the situation for Christians in countries around the world so that fellow Christians such as us can pray and campaign for them.  Through this Open Doors seeks to mobilise the church to join with them in their care and support for persecuted Christians.

Advocacy – Open Doors provides legal support to believers facing court action for their faith and champions their rights through public campaigns and private diplomacy.

Bibles & books – Open Doors makes Bibles and Christian books available to Christians in places where they can not get access to them due to persecution.

Training Leaders – Open Doors offers training to leaders of persecuted churches around the world.

Practical Support – Open Doors provides practical support for everyday living to those who lose homes and livelihoods simply because of their faith in Jesus.
